Cool Runnings: Arts, Style & Sports
Sports:  What other sport do I know?
Arts:  Five Years!?!?
Style:  Now that the holiday party season has passed, what makes for a successful fiesta?
Sports:  I shall stick with the little I know about surfing and swimming!
Arts:  ...If you are having trouble believing it has been five years, join the crowd.
Style:  See below, the 11/04 costume fest provides an excellent example.
SPORTS
AS daylight savings begins, surfing's warmest and most active season also is here.  Although winter provides the best waves, I can't say that I will miss the wetsuit or frozen feet!
ARTS
May 25, 1996
: The day seems innocent enough, sandwiched between cinco de mayo and Memorial Day, but Bradley decided to leave that day.  After Sublime's third and self-titled album reached phenomenal heights -- not acheived by "40oz. to Freedom" or "Robbin the Hood" -- and the birth of his son and recent wedding, the "needle" got the best of one of our best.  I have thought about it countless times, why the most talented and diversified band left, but it never amounts to more than someone and their own trip.  We miss you Bradley Nowell and hope you are rocking reggae style.
STYLE:
One fall evening in the beginning of November 2000, the crew at 1461 Missouri Street provided the latest and greatest example of a truly fly and phat party.  The causes to celebrate were numerous: numerous birthdays, that costume you really wanted to wear a week earlier but didn't have time to throw it together, get out the vote, and various other random ones that spawned this double kegger of fun.
Crucial Fiesta Tips:
a) multiple and diversified hosts;
b) open space, warm weather;
c) costumes!!!.
