Description:


           A small hairy tree or shrub with wide leaves that are heart shaped at the based and pointed at the tip.  Flowers are small and arranged in a big cluster at the tip of the stem.  The small fruits turn purple when ripe.


Medicinal Values

          The decoction of leaves maybe used as tea.  When taken as cough remedy, mix with calamansi.

Description:

          Climbing, annual vine attached to support by means of tendrils.  The palmately lobed leaves have heart shaped base.  Small, yellow flowers are found at the axils of the leaves.  The fruit is long, cynlindrical, green and with wrinkled skin.  It has a bitter taste.

Medicinal Values

          Prepare an infusion of the leaves.  Take this as tea.  Eat the leaves as salad afterwards.

          Leaf extract may also be prepared.  Add a little sugar, Drink.

Description:

          Cut the fruit in half and squeeze out the juice.  Mix with warm water.  Drink as needed.

Description:

          Boil a handful of leaves in water to produce a glassful of decoction. Adults and children may drink a glassful of decoction three times a day.
