Rik Mayall
Born Richard Michael Mayall on March 7, 1958, Matching Tye, Harlow Essex, to his parents who were both drama teachers
Rik and Ade formed a comedy group called "Twentieth Century Coyote" in the late 70s whilst both at Manchester college. They often
appeared on Saturday nights The Comedy Store but made their name at The Comic Strip. He first break was co-writing and playing the character of "Kevin Turvey" on A Kick Up the Eighties, then came the The Young Ones with Ben Elton and Lise Meyer. Rik has gone on to star in more notable roles such as 'Bottom' and and the New Stateman Playing Alan B'Stard.

Christopher Ryan
Christoper was the only member of The Young Ones not to have been in Comic Strip Presents.
He went on to play Lord Kiv in a 1986 episode of the cult science fiction series Doctor Who. More recently he has appeared in several feature films, including Santa Claus: The Movie, Michael Winner's Dirty Weekend, Blue Juice and the TV movie Requiem Appache. Also spotted in an espisode of One Foot in the Grave playing twins who do some DIY at Victors house, only to play cruel jokes on his wife Margaret. Hes also had roles in the comedy shows Ab Fab (as Edina's first husband), Mr Bean and the Lenny Henry Show.

Adrian Edmondson
Born January 24 1957 in Bradford. He attended Pocklington Public boarding school and then Manchester University as Rik studying drama.In 1977 he took a one-man show to the National Student Drama Festival and appeared at the Edinburgh Festival to as a result, the show was recorded for Radio 4. Throughout 1979 and 1980, Ade made numerous appearances on the growing comedy circuit before going on to co-found with Rik.
He went on to play `Vyvyan' in THE YOUNG ONES. He also appeared in FRIDAY NIGHT, SATURDAY MORNING and BOOM BOOM, OUT GO THE LIGHTS before going on to film his first starring role in Sandy Johnson's THE MAGNIFICENT ONE. Ade has been married to fellow Comic Actress Jennifer Saunder for over 20 years.

Nigel Planner
Was born on 22 February 1953 in
Westminster London.
Nigel is a founder member of The Comic Strip group, trained at LAMDA and has worked extensively in theatre, film and television as an actor and writer.
He has since appeared in the films Yellowbeard (written by and starring Graham Chapman and Peter Cook) and Brazil (written and directed by Terry Gilliam). He is also well known for his creation of 'luvvie actorrr' Nicholas Craig in Nicholas Craig: The Naked Actor. He co-wrote the spoof autobiography of Nicholas Craig, 'I, an Actor' and also wrote a book called 'A Good Enough Dad' about his experience of becoming a father. He had a UK hit single as Neil with his cover version of Traffic's 'Hole in my Shoe' back in 1984 (reached number 5 and wasa followed by 'Neil's Heavy Concept Album).. Last known to have appeared in
WE WILL ROCK YOU at the Dominion Theatre, London.
