Peter Kay

Peter Kay is one of the most prominent Stars of British Comedy. His sell out tour last year was such a success that in the ended up adding 40 additonal shows and played to an overall audience of 15,000! which left him completely exhausted , he's not ruled out future tours but has said he wont do any now for a while. That didnt stop Peter from spinning out yet another successful comedy series for Channel 4 - Max and Paddy's Road to no where', which is a spin off of his hit show 'Phoenix Nights' which we hope will return for Series 3?

Peter was born and bread in Bolton, on 2nd July 1973. After a couple of menial jobs and a stint as a mobile disc jockey. He won the 1997 So You Think You're Funny contest at Edinburgh and the North West Comedian of the Year award. In 1998 Peter took his own hour-long show to the Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for the Perrier Award. Peter actually has a qualification in stand up, which he got as part of his Btec in Media Performance Studies.

The future, as well as another possible series of the brillant Phoenix Nights , we hope Peter will follow in fellow comic actor Steve Coogans footsteps and make it onto the big screen. Watch this space...

A baby faced Peter!
