| Central Whidbey Island has established a new food bank to help our hungry neighbors. It is called "Gifts from the Heart".How can you help? 1. There are food drop boxes here at the Courthouse. In the Admin. building you will find a drop box under where the phone booths will go to the right as you enter through the 7th street entrance. In the Annex, the drop box is under the counter to the right of the Engineering window. In the Law & Justice building you can bring your food donations to the WSU extension front office. These drop boxes will be an ongoing thing with food donations being picked up weekly so please give often. 2. Monetary Donations Gifts From The Heart is a registered non-profit 501-C3 so any donations are tax deductible. You will be issued a receipt for any monetary donation. If you would like to send a check, Gifts from the Heart P.O. Box 155 Coupeville, WA 98239 Or, if it is easier for you, please write a check and give me a call and I will be happy to pick it up and deliver it for you. (X 7269) 3.
