COLOR GUARD

Over the years, we have experienced the tragic loss of many of our brothers and sisters in the fire service. Following the loss of 6 members in Worcester, MA in December of 1999, several members of Local 1589 approached the Executive Board with a request to form a Color Guard to represent Narragansett at these fire fighter funerals. Equipment was purchased and a patch was designed for the uniform, members were now ready to attend any and all fire fighter funerals.

We received noticed of a fire fighter death in February of 2001 in Manchester, New Hampshire. The following photos are from that funeral. Attending were J. Prete, B. Lloyd, J. Given, S. McLaughlin, D. Souza, and T. Sweet.
