YOUth Should Get Involved!
Hello! Welcome to Local 1400's YOUTH WEB PAGE!!!  This web page is dedicated to union members ages 16-25!

Your Canadian Director, Michael J. Fraser has put forth an initiative to get youth involved with their local unions.  A National Youth Internship Programme has been established, and now it is in the hands of the local unions to get their youth membership involved.  Local 1400 has set up a youth committee which is in the process of organizing methods of educating our youth membership.

If you are interested in getting involved with our committee and finding out more about YOUR unoin, please send us an email to:

We sincerely hope you take the time to read and look through the items we have put on our web pages!

WHY SHOULD YOUTH GET INVOLVED WITH THEIR UNION???

REASON NUMBER ONE:
Every year in Saskatchewan:
8000 YOUTH workers are injured;
5 YOUTH workers die on the job!

Don't become a statistic!

By going to union meetings, talking with shop stewards or contacting your local union representative, YOUth can get involved with their union and make a differnce in their working conditions!!

An educated workplace, is a SAFE workplace!
