| Ms. Biernat will explain the length, format, MLA documentation, and plagarism before you begin this term paper. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Your Assignment: - You will use the Crucible, the History Channel's presentation "History's Mysteries: The Salem Witchcraft Trials," the internet article "Salem Witchcraft" by Timothy Sutton, and 2 other sources to write this essay (one of the other sources needs to be a book). After reading and researching, you will determine what you believe are the actual three major causes of the witchcraft scare in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692. Once you have selected these three causes, you will explain each of them in detail in the body of the essay, and in addition, make connections to the text of The Crucible where you see examples of these causes occurring in the play. There are a number of print resources available to you as well as internet resources. Use the list of books listed below and the pathfinder 17th Century Witchcraft, Colonial Massachusetts, Arthur Miller. I have listed the websites below. |
