This project has 4 parts that will be graded according to the project rubric: Report, Presentation, Poster and Research Checklist. The project grade will count as two test grades in your second quarter average. Timeliness is important - lateness will lower your grade! Please note: this project will not be accepted more than 3 days late. Report: Write a three page report about your assigned country. It should be typed, double-spaced, using a 12 point font. Please include information about its location, size, and population. Find out about three important events in the country's history. What are some important customs, traditions, foods, and music that make the country unique? Use at least three different types of sources (books, magazines, culturegrams, the Internet, etc.). A bibliography is required. Make sure the report is in your own words. Be careful not to plagiarize! Presentation: You will give a 4-5 minute presentation to the class about your assigned country. Further information is in your packet. Poster: On standard-size posterboard, create a poster about your assigned country. A map and flag must be included. Research Checklist: To help you with the research process and to develop your library/information skills, Mrs. Lo Brutto will be giving you a research checklist. An Inter-library loan (ILL) form must be completed as part of your checklist. Mrs. Lo Brutto will review this procedure.
