Part One
-Dark Score Lake, Maine, June 15, 2002- He squirmed to get free of The Creatures hold. He felt lightheaded. She had her long fingers wrapped around his throat. He tried to fight her but she would not move one inch on where she was standing. The Creature was waiting. Waiting for when the boy was down to his final breaths then she would let go. Maybe. The Boy had tried to escape her before. She let him off with just scratches and bruises, this time she needed to see true fear in his eyes, to make sure he never tried to do anything like that again. The Boy, as she called him (his name was really Sean) was her prisoner. She had caught him trying to steal her most prized possession, her dagger. The most feared object known to mankind. It had killed many humans in its days, now it only tortured the poor souls of those it caught. -October 23, 1763- When Lobo Diablo, you may know her as The Creature, It, and The Beast, was a young pup, man wanted to kill her because they feared her. She was born as a wolf, but also half-human. Many might think of a werewolf. That is what she was, a werewolf. She could speak the human language and walk and move like a human. But her true nature was her wolf side. She had all the instincts of a wolf. She even looked like a wolf. She had the muzzle, the paws, the claws, and the speed of a wolf. When she was born, her parents (wolves) abandoned her and left her in the forest. There a human came by and picked up the little pup, but one look at her, and the human dropped the baby wolf, and ran away to tell the town on what he saw. The towns people didnt believe him, but a couple of months went by and there was no sign that the human who picked up the pup actually existed. Then one day, a human woman was found lying near the edge of the forest, and what they saw mortified EVERYONE. Her corpse was mangled in a position that no one ever thought was possible. Her leg was up and over the opposite shoulder, her arm was behind her back and draped over her stomach, her neck was bent back as far as it could go. Then the blood, all that blood. All over her face and arms, legs, stomach, chest, any were blood came out of. The towns people didn't no what to do. They could barley breath. One look and their skin would crawl. Some one, who was actually brave enough, went up to carry the body to a hospital. But when he touched her head just as light as light could be, he heard a loud crack. That made sent him back to the crowd shivering in fear. After a couple of days, they finally got a group of brave people to get the body and bring it to a hospital. They got detectives and the police on the case, but nothing could be found. Soon after everyone had just decided that nothing happened, another body came up just like the lady found in the edge of the forest. That was the final straw. One man got a group of people and searched in the forest to see if they could find anything to solve the mystery. But after just a couple of days, their wives, who always watched out for them everyday, found the group. But what they saw was not the determined faces that had left, but the faces of pale cowards running just as fast as their legs could go. The husbands never stopped for their wives, but just run right past them. Detectives tried to talk to the mortified men, but all they got was The Beast, beware. We mustn't tell you about IT. Detectives were baffled. No one could figure out what that meant. Finally after months of disappearances and people found dead or people found insane, the town decided to take action. They went out for war. They found their strongest men, and the best weapons. They thought they could catch The Beast off guard with so many people, but they were wrong. What they didn't know was that The Beast had been planning on the attack. She had been waiting for years on the attack. During her waiting time she created a dagger. Not like your ordinary dagger. Not at all. She had cast spells and enchantments on it. Now there was only one last thing to do. Name it. She had named it Inferno. Hell. That is what she would put any one who came in her path. In just months the great battle was on. Good vs. Evil. This war went on for centuries. In the end, if thats what you would call it, the battlefield was filled with blood. Evil has prevailed once more. The Creature has won. Now, for so many years, people have been trying to take the dagger and kill The Beast with it. But anyone who dared to come even a mile away from it would be tortured for the rest of their days. -2000- No one knows why such a young boy, merely 13, went out for the dagger. Whatever the reason, he did not secede. -March 05- Sean a boy at age 12 was talking with his friends. At first it was nothing, just a normal conversation that anybody could have. Then they started to call him a wimp when the conversation got in to Inferno. They asked if he would ever try to get the dagger. His response was No! That was when they called names, and started to beat on him. He finally said he probably would. Then the gang of teenage boys told him to do it after school.
-7:37pm- Sean had snuck out of his house. The cool air blowing in his face felt good. He walked toward the edge of the woods. The gang was there, of course. Are you ready for this? One of the boys asked. He was not ready. Nothing could have helped prepare him for this impossible task he was assigned to. Well, are you?! the same boy asked, growing impatient. Yes, of course. Whos afraid of The Big Bad Wolf? he said, taunting his confidence. What am I doing here? This is no place to be, for anyone, especially after dark. Little did Sean, nor his friends, realize they were not alone. In the woods there were two big, blood shot eyes, watching their every move. None of the boys had any idea on what was waiting for them. Its time to sink or swim Sean. Go now! a boy said. Sean inhaled deep, then dashed into the woods. Alone. He ran for about 5 minutes, then went down to a slow walk. He realized he would need to save his energy for running away from Lobo Diablo. Finally he got to the cave. He had walked for about a mile. He really wasnt that tired, he was used to walking, it was running he didnt like. Sean took one final breath and tip toed into the cave. He was looked over his shoulder, his dark brown eyes darted left to right. The boy continued forward. He looked up and couldnt believe he was standing two feet away from the most feared object known to mankind. He held his breath. One. he whispered to him self as his hand reached upward. Two. just inches away from Inferno. Three. a mysterious hypnotic voice hissed. Sean spun around only to see Lobo Diablo. The Creature was standing on her hind legs, she must have stood at least seven feet tall, her feet were covered by a flowing black dress, it was as if she had no feet and she was floating. Fur covered the rest of her body. Her eyes were red as blood, she was furious. She barred her teeth at him, which sparkled like crystals. Her ears, which twitched to every noise, were now fixed on Sean, waiting for him to make his move. If Sean couldnt see her face, he wouldve thought she was as calm as afternoon tea. He shifted his eyes to the right then the left, looking for some way to escape. There on the left wall, looks like a passage he thought, if I could just get past IT, I just might make it out of here. He moved his eyes back towards The Beast so she wouldnt get suspicious. She started to walk towards him. He inched back, making sure he wouldnt bump into anything. He was waiting, waiting to . . . JUMP! He just dodged The Beasts huge claws. He leaped to the left and ran toward the passage. Fool. You dont even know were your going. she chuckled. Sean ignored her. He just wanted to get as far away from her as possible. He ran as far as he could before he fell, panting. I lost her, he thought. He slowly got up and looked around. Where am I? He thought to himself. There was light at the end of the tunnel! But wait, I came here and it was still dark. Its only been about an hour, hour and a half tops. So it cant be daytime. He walked toward the light. He was confused at why it was so well lighted. When he walked into the room, he was stunned at what he saw. The room was lit with many burning torches. Inside there were chains, and bodies and bones in the chains. Sean looked with wide eyes, he couldnt help but walk into this torture chamber. On the other end of the room he saw daggers, whips, spears, bows and arrows, big glasses of blood, and other sharp or poisonous objects. As he awed the objects that were in this torture chamber, he didnt have time to react when The Beast caught up to him. She grabbed his left wrist and dragged it over to his right, grabbing that one as well. She tied both of his hands together. C'mon boy. she hissed in his ear. Sean, What? Sean, thats my name. I DONT CARE. FROM NOW ON YOUR NAME IS BOY GOT IT? she yelled in his ear. He didnt bother to answer her, it was pointless. You want to see what this room is so bad, well heres your chance. she said. At that, she dragged him into the chamber. |
