Authors Note: Duo is not gay in this fanfic. Heero, on the other hand, has passionate feelings for him, but he has no idea how to express those emotions. Heero sees Duos fun nature as an act of flirting, so the way he deals with his confusion is by acting mean to the one he loves. (Get it?)
My Deadly Mistake
Hey Heero! Looks like the missions complete. You ready to go back? Duo asked as his face lit up on Wings screen. Damn those gentle cobalt eyes.
Yeah, just hide your Gundam near Elurian and meet in the dorm room,
Roger that. See ya there, Duos face disintegrated as he went to hide Deathscythe. When he was out of site range I fallowed. I was sure hed hide his in the sea thats next to the city, so I hid Wing in the woods which was between the sea and the city.
Whats wrong with you, Yuy? my mind began wander while I walked back to the school.
You already know the answer to that, Mr-Perfect-Soldier.
Thats not what I mean!
Then what you mean?
Why do I have this...this...
Crush?
NO! I was going to...interest in Maxwell.
Were you?
Of course! What else would Ive said?
Crush, fascination...past erections?
That happened once Couldve happened to anyone.
But it happened to you While you were thinking of him.
Its not my fault I guess it was the long hair...I dont know. And just imagine, no dick and big breasts
Are you sure you want breasts?
I stopped when I entered the dorm room.
Hey Heero Took you awhile, though you got lost or something,
Hn, Why cant I just give him a full sentence explanation? Oh well. I just went to my laptop that was on the desk and began filling out the reports to send J. Duo mustve already done his. Hes probably been here awhile.
So, Heero, I sighed...Duo was going to ramble to me like he does every night. Ive learned to drown out his voice. Im sure hes caught onto what I do, hes not stupid, but yet he still continues to talk to himself each night.
I sighed again after him talking for about 10 min. Im going to put a stop to this tonight.
Duo, shut up, I began. Duo was silent for a few moments. Before he had a enough time to say something in his defense, I stood up with my hands on the desk. I didnt face him.
For the longest time now, you will stand there and talk. Shit man, you can talk. Every night I turned around to look at him. His cobalt eyes were now two large orbs, wide with surprise. Im sure you know that I havent been listening to a damn thing youve been saying. Now what I want to know is why?
As I spoke to him, I walked over to him, grabbed him by the soldiers and propped him up against the wall. He blinked a few times, probably getting past shock. Why the hell do you keep pestering me while I work? Why do you appear everywhere I go? Sleeping isnt even safe
Whats wrong with you, Heero? Duo asked calmly, much to my surprise. He tried to push my hands away but I pushed him into the wall, harder this time, causing his head to bang against the wall.
Ouch Heero That hurts
You have no idea what true pain is, even though I was sure he was experiencing it in his heart. (If only he knew...) I dont like him I hate him Why dont you just stop this little crush you have, cause nothings ever, EVER going to happen between us,
Heero? What... I stopped him from talking by backhanding him.
Shut up Just shut up I couldnt stop myself. I let go of his shoulders and grabbed his wrists. Then I put my knee up to his groin so he wouldnt try anything with his legs. A slight gasp escaped his lips.
Heero... he said, slightly in a whimper. I pushed my knee harder to warn him.
He gave a small moan from the increasing pressure. When I looked into his eyes, though, there was no passion from the moan. When I looked into those narrow blue slits, I saw distaste, fear, and most of all, anger.
Duo? Why are you angry at me? Duo looked me straight in the eye.
Are you insane? ...ugh...and what the hell were you talking about earlier? I knew Duo wanted to yell, to kick, scream, and punch, but his curiosity mustve gotten the better of him.
Its the damn doctors fault, I said, more-so to myself. J never taught me how to deal with this..this emotion, Duo watched as my eyebrows furrowed.
Wha-what emotion? I was silent. Cmon Heero buddy. You can trust me, Im sure he was lying through his teeth. I didnt know what to do. I felt like a prisoner being asked for 200 years or the electric chair. But then I remembered what someone once told me, Follow your emotions. So thats just I did.
I leaned forward and placed a tender kiss on his lips. He tried to jerk away, but I pressed my body against his. When I pulled away, Duo lost it. He struggled and thrashed.
When his right hand wiggled out of my grip he punched me, right on the cheek bone. Both, him and I, heard a loud crack. I let go of him and raised my hands to my cheek, looking for blood or broken bones, nothing.
I...Im sorry Heero, Duo said, walking away from me as fast as possible. But you shouldnt have done that. Not like that! Duo was shaking his head, it looked to me like he was trying to convince himself.
My body went numb. It was a familiar Ive had. No! Not now! I was turning into my perfect soldier mode.
Dont move a muscle, Maxwell! I grabbed the small hand gun we kept in a table drawer and walked towards him.
What are you planning to do? Huh, Heero? Duo challenged me. Are you planning to shoot me? I grabbed his shirt and pressed my forearm on his throat, ramming him into the wall.
I want you to do one thing for me, I said, placing the gun to Duos right temple. Think you handle that?
What if I dont? I pulled down the safety latch, indicating what Id do. You cant shoot me. At least not here, everyone will hear the gun shot, Hes right. Theres got to be a different way. I punched him in the stomach. It was unexpected so he didnt have a chance to block it. I watched as he crumpled to the floor, unconscious. At least thatll buy me a little time.
When Duo woke up (about 5-10 min. later) his mouth was gagged, his hands handcuffed, and his feet bound with rope. I watched him lay there, squirming like a turtle on its back. He tried to yell at me, but with his gagged mouth, I only heard small incoherent muffles.
Now, are you ready to listen to my favor? I grabbed his chin and forced it up and down. Good, the Duo tried to yell at me again. Shut up! I yelled. I grabbed a pillow, put it on his thigh and pulled the trigger to the gun.
Duo screamed. As the once white pillow turned red. A single tear rolled down his cheek. I leaned forward and licked it off. Duo flinched away from my touch.
You shouldve listened to me. Now are you willing to? Duo gave an uncertain nod, so I grasped his face. Look at me, Duo! his eyes shifted towards mine. If I catch you not paying attention, it WONT be this leg Ill shoot, I said, tapping the unwounded leg. His eyes widened and he nodded his head. Good,
I held his hair, where the braid began, and gripped the thick, silky locks. I want you to stay the hell away from me! I dont care what you do or how you do it. Email G or something, just do it! I let go of his bread, his head landed with a thud. I got to off of his well built stomach, which probably had a nice bruise on it, and walked out the door. I heard him trying to plead, to tell me to untie him, but I ignored him for the time being.
I walked across the street and grabbed a Cherry Coke and a Barqs Root Beer from the vending machine.
~ about a week later~
After that...incident, Duos been staying in Wufeis, normally empty, dorm. Weve kept our distance, but its difficult since we have most of the same classes. I see people asking Duo about his limp, he says some punk kid nailed him with a sling shot, thats why theres, what looks like, a bullet wound.
During this week my emotions have been going haywire, but I ignored it for now. Now was not the time to be thinking about it.
When I got back to my room, there was a message sent by the Docs. It was a mission for the five of us.
~next day~
It was a mobile suit battle as expected. Though, there were a lot more mobile suits then predicted, but we were winning, nevertheless. Each of us had about five Aries left.
Heero, wheres Duo? Quatres face lit up on the screen.
What do you mean?! I panicked.
We havent seen him for the past 15 minutes and none of us can get a hold of him, the worst was running through my mind. I was forcing myself to say that he was low on power and let us take the rest, or something safe.
I was the first to land on the Earth and I still wish I wasnt. What I saw there was something so horrible. Deathscythe was on the ground, missing its right arm and its head.
Duo! I shouted running towards the cockpit. When I reached it and got the door to open I almost hurled right there.
Duo? Duo, its me. Please say something, I whispered while picking up his bleeding body. No! No you cant be dead. Youre still alive! Please! Duo! tears where now falling from my eyes. I kissed his forehead. It was cold and there was a taste of blood that lingered in my mouth.
Nooo... I yelled as the other pilots gathered around me. Duoooooo...!
~End~
