This is the way to travel! Kevin, Shanna, Shasta, David, Aron, and Amber all cram into the subway and do their best to hang on to the pole, as my hand is demonstrating front and center, while taking the picture with the other hand. |

We rode the Staten Island Ferry, which runs by the Statue of Liberty with a decent view. If we took the Ellis Island Ferry, we could go up much closer, but we had to pay for that. We’d much rather take the free ferry instead. Let’s conserve money for more “mission-related” affairs. ;) |

Who’s tired? Hungry? Ready for a nap after this looong day? OK, I’ll be quiet. The expressions on the faces say it all...Amber’s worn out, Kevin tries to put on a smile, Shanna just wants to sleep, Aron musters his strength to smile, Shasta is ready to go home, and David dozes off. Barely 5 minutes after taking the picture, I fell asleep eating a snack-sized box of Fruit Loops. |
