�I do read the papers.� Emma answers.
�You haven�t changed�(Implying the fact that she still reads the papers like she always used to) you�ve got a long memory.� (Remembering the case)
Steed says to her.
�Long happy memories� Emma replies. (She remembers the cases they used to work on years ago, and other memories!!!)
�Yes� Steed sympathetically says. (He agrees, to the statement, that they did have happy memories together.)
�So you�re off to France then?.� Emma asks, knowingly. (She has read the paper, and knows he will be going to France. Maybe, she could be stating this as she knows why he has called her, to let her know he is going to France, so they won�t be able to meet up because they are back together!!!)
�Yes, we�re leaving right away.� Steed replies to her. (Telling, and stating that that�s why he is phoning, to let her know that he is going to France. If he is phoning her to tell her that he won�t be able to meet her, maybe for dinner, or just to let her know where his is going!!!)
�Well good luck Steed, and erm�I�m not Mrs Peel anymore!� Emma states. (Telling him good luck on the case, and is just reminding him that she is Not Mrs Peel anymore, that he should know that!!! As they have met up before this phone call!!!)
�Yes, I know. (Chuckles) But you�re still Mrs Peel to me. Goodbye.� Steed replies rather knowingly himself. (Steed states this, like she has already told him, but simply, and rather lovingly replies that she will always be Mrs Peel to him, and by him adding the �still Mrs Peel to me� could mean that she is still the same person he has always known.)
�Goodbye Steed.� Emma says. (As if she was disappointed or something, because they can�t meet up!!!)
