| Duff (Michael Andrew) McKagan (born: 5-4-64 in seatle, WA) sings and plays guitar in Loaded. Duff plays a lot of instruments, beside guitar he can play drums Bass-guitar and piano. He started playing music in seatlle, where his dad told him to pic up music. Duff played in more than 80 bands in seatlle, but he was to serious to stay in this town. He moved to LA at the age of 19. Here he met Slash and Steven Adler, they had a band named Roadcrew, but they where not very active. Duff played with them for 6 (f@*k up) weeks. Then he joined forces with Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin in Hollywoodrose. At the end Roadcrew and Hollywoodrose got together, thanks to Duff. Guns N' Roses was born. Duff played Bass-guitar. Life in GN"R was hard, but it paided of. After the breaktru in 1988, they sold millions of albums and even more shirts. In GN"R UOI-tour duff made his first solo album "believe in me". Aslo he worked with famous people like Lenny Kravitz and Iggy Pop. In 1998 Duff stopted playing in GN"R after a strugling time. Also he started playing with Steve Jones in the neurotic outsiders, they where very populair in the US. In 1999 Duff Finished his second solo Album "beautiful diceases". This album became the basic foundation to Loaded. |
