Centaur Broadbow
A Centaur Broadbow is a huge and powerful weapon. Constructed by the hybrid race of Centaurs, these bows have far greater range and power than many hand-used weapons but are constructed and shaped for the large hands and great forearm strength of the Centaur. While some other races are strong enough to use the bow, the intricate skill of its design is only taught to Centaurs. Consequently, only a Centaur can equip one of these weapons.

Leather Barding
Leather Barding is made from the toughened and treated animal hide. It is lighter and more flexible than metal armour and allows greater use of natural dexterity and balance. It also allows some protection against the cold by trapping body heat. Barding is armour designed for equine use, including horses and centaurs. Non-equine characters cannot wear it.

Full Plate Barding
Full Plate Barding is a heavy cumbersome suit of armour, which is made from steel plates, welded and shaped to fit the equine body. While offering a high degree of protection against most forms of attack, Full Plate Mail can be heavy and cumbersome. Barding is armour designed for equine use, including horses and centaurs. Non-equine characters cannot work it. Full Plate differs from field plate in that the steel is heavier and thicker.

Chain Barding
Chain Mail Barding is essentially armour of linked metal in a chain-fashion, shaped to fit the equiine body  which acts to stop penetrating weapons and reduce the damage done by bludgeoning weapons by both stopping the edge from reaching the skin and spreading the impact over a wider area of the chain. Chain mail is fairly heavy to wear and quite noisy, but does not restrict movement too much.

Equus Chain Barding
Equus Barding is a special form of Barding made only by the Centaur Council, although it is sold at a premium to non-members as well. Equus Barding has a special cloth-padded interior which helps it absorb damage dealt. Consequently, every blow dealt does one point less than it would have done. However, due to
the heavy padding, Equus Barding does hamper movement slightly, and is slightly more prone to fire-based attacks than might be expected.

Horseshoes
Horseshoes are iron fixings that are attached to a horse's hooves to make travel more comfortable for them when being ridden and on varied terrain types. Horseshoes will eventually become worn (3% chance per turn) which reduces the horses move points by 4. The next stage is ruined which reduces the horse�s movement by 10.

Repair horseshoes. (B-1636) Cost - 30GP's
A  trader will offer blacksmiths service. Reshod Increases a horses movement by 4.
Tomiks horseshoes
These horseshoes, once in the possession of the dead Centaur hero Tomik,  greatly enhance the speed of any equine which wears them and never wear out.
Equippable to feet (equine only), 6 per slot.

Please note - only one pair of these horseshoes are thought to exist.
