Journey to Africa - An albatros (sad) story.
On the morning of the 4th of May 2005, 16 fine examples of albatrosses took the sky in the mighty attempt to migrate from the australian shores to the warm beaches of Africa. The world hold its breath as a considerable amount of money was bet trying to spot the fastest winged friend. Some went for the acute look (18 stone of idiot), some for the strong name (Geronimo), some for the testosterone level (Kubla Khan)............. But nobody could foresee the catastrofic end of what has started as a beautiful innocent bird watching game. Soon the Indian Ocean was full of birds bones pushed by the waves on the deadly coast of south Australia. None of the 16 animals reached the promise land and none of the betting people saw their money again. Below and on the right is the summary of the genocid............ we are all wearing black !!!

Right: Kubla Khan spotted by paparazzi mating on the tasmanian shores.
Kubla holds the record of negative miles flown (experts orginally believed he was using the monsoon to get to the Africa via Japan....) and cubs having spent more time mating with local birds than in the sky.
