Hidden Obsessions
I always go through these random phases of obsessions and I never really tell anyone about them (except my sister, of course). But yes, here is another random page just to fill up space! Maybe this page will be of help to some person out there....?

JDorama
- 1 Litre of Tears (Ichi Rittoru no Namida)
- As the title hints, this is a really sad series about a girl who struggled with Spinocerebellar Degeneration. Based on a real story, this series follows the life of a 15 year old girl named Aya and how she battled this disease.
Spoiler: Aya slowly loses the
ability to walk properly, to
move her fingers, and to talk.
She begins to feel like a
burden, but because of this
disease, she was able to see
how warm people are when
they help her. Thus, she
dreams of spreading this
warmth by helping people in
the future. To encourage
herself to live on, she
wrote optimistic phrases in
a diary, even when it was
difficult to hold a pen.
Through these entries,she
was able to fulfill her goal of
helping others.
.
.
.
Shortly after her
death at age 25, her diary
was published and has
encouraged many others
suffering the same disease.

JDorama, K-Drama, TW-drama, HK-drama... mainly because I'm obsessed with different Asian languages right now! Here are some of the dramas I thought were good.
- TW-dramas:
- HANAZAKARINO KIMITACHIHE
- This is a great series (hahaha, mainly because Hana Kimi is the best manga ever)!!! But yes, this series is about a girl who disguises herself as a boy to attend an all-boy school. She did this just to meet her favorite high jumper. It features Ella as Ru Xi (Mizuki), Wu Zun as Quan (Sano), Jiro Wang as Xiu Yi (Nakatsu), .... It ended really early though. It's only 15 episodes long (while the manga is 23 volumes... they stopped around volume 9).

- JDorama:
- Hana Yori Dango 2 Returns
- So, about a year ago, I watched Hana Yori Dango season one! Now, HYD2 recently came out and it's actually ok. You know how there are those characters that really piss you off... well, yeah... there are a bunch of those here! This series is about a girl named Makino Tsukushi. She attends Eitoku Gakuen, a school full of rich kids and the same school where the group F4 attends. One day, she defends her friend from being bullied and ends up receiving the red notice from F4. If a student receives the red notice, they are bullied and driven out of the school. Makino stands up to the bullying and declares war on F4, particularly Domyoji... (This was all season 1). Season 2 continues the story between Makino and Domyoji.

- Kimi wa Petto
- Another series with Jun Matsumoto! It's a cute series. One day, while coming home from work, Sumire notices a cardboard box in front of her apartment. To her surprise, a young man covered in injuries is sleeping in it. She brings him into her apartment and nurses him back to health. The young man starts to like her and says that he would do anything for Sumire if she would let him stay with her. So Sumire says she will let him stay only if he becomes her pet. He agrees and is named Momo by Sumire.
- Gokusen
- I love this series. I don't know why, but it's quite good! Yamiguchi Kumiko (Yankumi) has this view of making a difference in people's lives. Thus, she becomes the homeroom teacher of the diffult 3-D class. The students bully her and try to make her quit, but that doesn't stop her from teaching these kids. Instead, she ends up defending them most of the time. What everyone doesn't know is that Yankumi is the fourth generation heir to the Oodeo Group, an infamous yakuza clan.
"Studying is not for getting good grades, but for training yourself to overcome hardships." ~Yankumi

- K-dramas:
- My Girl
- The funniest series I've seen in my life!! :-D This series is about Gong-chan who is looking for his long lost cousin, but instead runs into Yu-rin, a girl who is really good at lying. He hires her to pretend to be his cousin as a final gesture for his dying grandfather, but...

- My Name is Kim Sam Soon
- This series is ok... The only reason I say this is because I watched it right after My Girl. I was hoping it would be a funny series, but it's more of a "love" story. The main guy is kinda cute though!
Sam Soon is jobless 30-year old woman, who on Christmas eve, catches her boyfriend with another girl. He breaks up with her that same evening. Following that, she meets Jin Hun in the most awkward situation. Jin Hun is the owner of a restaurant and coincidentally, he needed a baker. So he hires Sam Soon, who is an expert at making pastries and other desserts, to be the chief baker at his restaurant. Eventually, Sam Soon starts to like Jin Hun, but of course, Jin Hun's ex-girlfriend appears and tries to make him hers again.

- Sweet 18
- Another funny and cute series. This series is about an arranged marriage between Yoon Jung Sook and Kwon Hyuk Joon. Jung Sook is a mischevious 18 year old girl who wants to live her life however she felt. Hyuk Joon is a serious dectective/lawyer. When they first met up, Jung Sook thought Hyuk Joon was old and boring, while Hyuk Joon saw Jung Sook as an immature little girl. The story follows their lives as they live together as a couple and the obstacles they encounter.

- Goong
- ~Smiles~ I honestly fastforwarded through several parts because it was too stressful or painful for me to watch... but it's still very good!! This is another story about a betrothed couple, but with more politics in it. This time it's between the crown prince Lee Shin and a girl name Chae Gyung. These two characters did not really like each other at all, so their feelings for each other slowly developed. Lee Yul, Lee Shin's cousin and the former crown prince, however falls for Chae Gyung. So he tries to steal her from Shin, along with the crown prince position.

- HK-dramas:
- Maidens' Vow
- Okay, I actually haven't watched any HK-drama recently, except for this series that my sister and I are currently slowly watching. I think we're averaging an episode every two weeks! Hahaha... it's good though, but we just don't have time. I like the second story the most so far. It's about four generations of a family in which Charmaine plays the main character of each.

Chinese Music
- Ta hee... my mandarin comprehension skills are really bad. Nonetheless, my list of Chinese singers consist mainly of Taiwanese singers!
- TANK
- Jay Chou
- Khalil Fong
- Wang Lee Hom
- Fahrenheit... okay, I'm not a huge fan of their music, but these guys are in several TW dramas I saw and they're funny!
- Wynners... Hehe, yay for old songs! I should put Sam Hui on this list too, but that phase passed around August.
Hana Kimi
- This never leaves my list!! :-D I'll just change the pictures! (Pics of the actors/actress from the series. The last two pics are from the Hana Kimi artbook by Hisaya Nakajo.)

Hana Yori Dango
I just finished watching the live version of Hana Yori Dango and I loved it. The anime was good too, but I like the live ending better! But yes... now I really would like my own copy of the series. Oh, they're coming with a second season in 2007. Can't wait!
