Character: a feature or trait
Main character (protagonist): the person who drives the action
Minor character: a character who is not viewed with as much importance or purpose in the story
Dynamic character: a character that undergoes a permanent change
Static character: a literary character who remains unchanged throughout the story
Setting: the time and place of the action
Plot: the sequence of related events in a story
Exposition: the writer gives on the characters ans situation
Inciting incident: introduces and hints of the major conflicts
Rising action: events intensify the conflict
Climax: the tension reaches its highest point because the outcome of the conflict is about to be revealed
Falling action: the tension lessons become the outcome is clear
Denouement (resolution): the final outcome. Often the resolution involves a change or insight
Theme: the message or moral of a story
