Roleplaying information

Guess what? I roleplay! Isn't that amazing? ... Not really. I've got rules for you to follow. Wow, isn't that just lovely? You'll know what not to do. And I'll love you. ... No, really. Quick links- Character info and contact info.

/ Be literate. As in, know how to spell, know where you're supposed to put periods and commas, ect. I know that typos are frequent for the people like me who type too fast and rarely revise. o_o So I'm not gonna yell at you for that. But make an effort to look over your text- who knows, it might encourage me to do the same. XD

/ No wolfspeak. Use a word when you know its real meaning.

/ No perfect characters, no godmoding, and no powerplaying. As perfect characters I mean those who can murder you in a snap, cannot be killed by any means whatsoever, cannot be harmed, cannot feel pain, and so forth. I don't mind immortal characters. I have some myself. But I mean, if you cut off their arm, would it magically reattach itself? If you stabbed them, would they bleed? ... Yeah.

/ Please. I like 'advanced' literates, but I am definately NOT going to like you if you write me an essay at every reply. I love people who inject witticism, good humour, and especially life in their posts. It makes roleplaying really enjoyable. So, I'm here to roleplay for fun, not to read a novel. If I wanted to read a novel I'd pick one off my bookshelf.

/ Okay... So I do love roleplaying, but I don't like doing that nonstop. D| Your characters might be interesting and all, but I want to know about you too! I really hate calling people "roleplaying partners". I really would prefer calling them "friends" instead.

/ No forced romance. I don't mind if it naturally ends up that way, just don't push yourself. If a love relationship is what you ultimately expect from any and every roleplay, I'm sorry but I'm certainly not going to service you with that. [On a side note, there's a little thing called "sex" that I can't write in detail. I didn't say don't want to, I didn't say dislike, I said CAN'T.]

/ Be nice. I'm not going to mock you or your characters. Don't laugh at mine. All in play it's okay, I bash around my own characters from time to time. But bold disrespect makes my blood seethe.

/ Oh yes. Standard roleplaying format please.

/ If you really want to know I'm looking for friends for my characters. Although it doesn't mean that we have to set up our characters for a sunny disposition. I love tragedy, and violence, and conflict. ^^ As long as you don't actually kill any of my characters without my permission. Or rape them. There are some of my characters I'd prefer keeping unharmed.

/ Sure are a lot of rules eh? Well this isn't exactly a rule. Generally I do modern fantasy as roleplaying 'genre'. You know- that thing with the gifted humans, and the angels, and the demons, and the vampires and all that junk? Bascially, modern fantasy is- in my point of view- a realm similar to ours (in this current time), where the 'supernatural' fit into, sometimes by hiding their differences and blending in (or flat out hide from the world), others not. I can also do a normal modern roleplay, or a mix- like some poor human guy suddenly ending up in the midst of some sinister plot where he understands nothing of the weird forces at hand. Or whatever.

/ You know what long term is, right? Well the thing about it is that it's not called long term for nothing. Keep that in mind please. If you're going away on vacation, or anything that keeps you away from your computer for long periods of time, please tell me so I don't delete you off my contact list thinking you forgot about me. And if you don't feel like roleplaying with me anymore, at least tell me? I'd love to still be able to talk to you, unless you hate my guts. :D

/ ALSO. If you want to discontinue our current rp, or it's starting to bore you, TELL ME. I don't mind starting a new one, or brainstorming for plot ideas to make things more interesting.

/ I can't think of anything else at the moment. I've posted up enough guidelines, if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

/ OH YES. One thing you must never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER do is START A ROLEPLAY WITH YOUR CHARACTER'S PAST. I don't even KNOW the guy and you just blurt out in a nice, long essay about how his childhood was like!? What the fuck? I don't mind you starting with a short story- like, that morning Bob's roommate Fred asked him to go out and buy milk, so Bob's now downtown shopping for other things he needs. In fact it's better that way so you know why Bob's out there in the first place- you know a bit about what's going on. But I don't want to know about how Bob was chased by rabid pitbulls through five blocks and one football field when he was 9 and Fred was there cheering for the dogs. :x Thank you.
