HISTORY

In the ancient lands of Bardoken, there was once a time where peace reigned supreme. Everyone got along and there were happiness and joy throughout the land. Humans were in the early stages of discovery and the elves and the fairies exsisted in harmony among them. However, the time lasted short and humans began to scheme and bicker among them. Fearing that they would not survive a battle with the humans cause of their numbers, the races defected from them. Not much is known of this defection, but it did cause humans to distrust the fairy creatures afterwards.

However, the humans decided that there were more to the land then they thought. One man, Phillus Martin, began an order to keep the knowledge to themselves. They prevented any of the humans from knowing the real reason that the elves and the fairy people kept away from them. In the beginning, they were peaceful in their negotiations. However, secretly, they were planning a move. During the night, Phillus attacked the main ministers with his followers and destroyed everyone alive. They made it look like the fairy people did it and blamed them for all their troubles with the land.

People grew angry and launched a sudden unexpected attack on the fairy creatures. The elves and other brethren launched a massive counterattack using their magic to cut the attackers to pieces before they even got close. One man shot an arrow into the heart of the Elven King and then proceeded to cut through the fairy creatures from the rear. He was the solo attacker in the group and was so skillful with the sword that no one was able to get close to him. The battle stopped as both sides watch him shot five elves with five arrows at once. After that, the fairy creatures surrendered since they used all their magic in the counterattack. Phillus was crowned king of Bardoken. He met the man that won the war and knighted him. That man later became known as the Black Knight.

The Black Knight was unknown. Not much was known about him except that he was unmatched in weapon usage. Phillus began to grow jealous as people began to talk of the Black Knight more than him. He began researching the black arts and working with spells unimaginable. In the process, he created the ancient sword of darkness and the sword of lightness by mistake. In reality, he did not created them. They were found when he used magic to enter the netherworld to obtain more power. Fearing what they were, he gave the sword of darkness to his son Phillus Jr. He then gave the sword of lightness to the Black Knight.

The swords were the greatest weapons of all time. Forged from the fires of hell and heaven, they were like sister and brother. One was black as night and radiated with a bright glow. The other was as fiery and lava and radiated with a red glow. However, with great power, there was a price. Both parties grew obsessed over the weapons. They began to discover that when everyone else got older, they remained the same. They were cursed with eternal youth and immortality, never to die unless they were killed by someone with one of the cursed sword. They sword was always too heavy for any other man to lift, but never heavy for them.

The son became dark and oppressive because of the corruption of the sword. He killed his father Phillus and obtained his crown. He became known as Lord Diemos, Lord of darkness. Retaining magic from learning under his father, he destroyed the researching and books on the dark arts. He killed all the followers of his father too to make sure that magic knowledge was lost forever. He proceeded to raise an undead army and began an attack against the people. Peasants, lords, and other races banded together and appointed the Black Knight as their leader. Refusing leadership, the Black Knight appointed the task to a man named Johnathon Kass. John Kass tried to hold out against the horde of zombies and skeletons, but was unable to stop their assault. The Black Knight, however, rode pass the undead and challanged Diemos to a duel. They fought for hours and in the end, Diemos was smited by the Black Knight. His undead army collapsed with him and the war ended quickly.

The Black Knight left everyone and disappeared from public eye entirely. Centuries past and the Kass's remained as the rular of the lands. People who did not like their rule moved to the north, east, and west. The fairy creatures lost all their magic and became soverigns of the south. They lost their minds and became mindless monsters like the ones living in the swamps. The swamps was known afterwards as the Swamp of No Return. The elves moved to the east and had such good eye, hand coordination that they became skilled archers. They were distrustful of humans and did not approve of the Kass clan cause they were chosen by the Black Knight. Over the centuries, they lost their reasons to be distrustful and were just distrustful for a forgotten reason.
