My name is Lena Noftall. I am a retired Registered Nurse, but
having said that, I do work on a casual basis at our local nursing
home. My husband and I live in the province of Newfoundland
and Labrador and have been married for 43 years. We have two
sons and two grandsons.
I started oil painting as a hobby in the early seventies and continued
for a few years, but when life got busy with work and children, I put
it aside. In the early nineties I started decorative painting with a
group of seven friends. We met once a week and usually painted
the same pattern. Five of us still meet regularly; two have moved away.
Three years ago, I became interested in the Donna Dewberry
One StrokeTM and studied with a certified teacher in my area.
This same teacher is also certified in the Mary Owens Pen and Ink
Oil Rouging. I have thoroughly enjoyed this style of painting and although
I am still enjoying this technique, I am at present embarking on the Wet on Wet style as developed by the artist Bob Ross.
For further information and to order any of my paintings, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
