Zzzzzzz . . .

Tyson & I are now the very proud "parents" of a pug puppy born on June 19, 2001! We adopted "Putt" on Saturday, August 25, 2001 from Teskes in Moline.

He had his first visit to the Vet on August 28th and he weighed in at 3.2 pounds and that included the leash and collar!

He made friends with the
Shar-Pei statue!

Why the name, "Putt"? Everyone thinks it's because Tyson's a golfer, but it's actually kind of an inside joke. When I was searching the classifieds for a puppy awhile back I found one that was 1/2 pug, 1/2 mutt or something. I told Tyson about him and he said, "We want a pug, not a putt (Pug/Mutt)." :) Anyway, it kinda stuck after that and I'm glad we waited because he is absolutely perfect!

I've wanted a pug for sooo long and Putt is just the cutest thing I've ever seen (I've been told he looks a lot like his new Daddy!) I'm really surprised at how well behaved he is for a puppy and the Vet agreed. I was a little unsure at first about having to raise a puppy and deal with training and housebreaking him, but so far so good. It's kind of like babysitting, only he howls a little more than the kids did when I put him in his cage! :)

Yeah, ok so I turned into one of those cheesy weird women who baby-talks to her dog and calls herself his Mommy, but just look at this face . . .
