Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant, or "VA" is the same thing as a secretary, administrative assistant, etc. except they work off-site commonly in their home office.

Staffcentrix.com states: " A VA is an independent contractor who can handle your non-core support needs from a distance via email, fax, telephone, etc. VAs, like many of their clients, are the CEOs of their own companies. Often, they become the long-term "growth partners" of their clients, handling such tasks as administrative support, bookkeeping, scheduling and client contact, or other more-specialized areas such as Web site maintenance and market research." How can a VA help me?

As a Virtual Assistant, I am also a business owner. I understand your need to run your business in an efficient, professional and cost effective manner. I realize it can be difficult to quickly find high quality help when you may not be able to offer many hours, benefits and insurance. Rather than pay a temp agency to send over some random person, you can call me, your Virtual Assistant and forget about payroll hassles & expensive agency fees.Top of Page

How are projects completed?

I collect and deliver the work in person, by phone, fax or e-mail. I utilize my own office so you don't have to worry about extra space or new equipment.Top of Page

Why not hire a part time employee or a temporary employee?

As a Virtual Assistant, I am an efficient office professional who can quite possibly finish the same amount of work a part-time employee completes in a full day in as little as a few hours. You are not charged for coffee breaks, restroom breaks, or any other distractions an employee may incur during the day. Also, you do not have to deal with additional payroll, insurance, benefits, etc. thus saving you time and money.

Working off-site allows me to complete projects virtually around the clock so I'm not restricted to the "normal" business hours of 9-5. If you realize at 8PM that you need your notes re-typed for your 7AM meeting, most likely you can't call your employee, but you can call me.

As for calling a temp agency, if you don't mind paying the expensive fees or getting some random person with each project, by all means, call a temp agency. But, if you can appreciate knowing the same qualified individual will be handling all your projects (no matter how sporadic) at previously agreed upon rates, give me a call. Top of Page

I'm uneasy about paying for work completed off site. How do I know I'm being billed fairly?

You will be charged only for the time and materials used to complete your project. All costs are previously agreed upon before any work is stared. If there begins to be a significant difference in time and materials for the project than previously stated in the estimate, you will be contacted immediately and we will make adjustments as necessary.

My unique approach of working off site is for your convenience. I will get the work out of your way and promptly return completed projects so you can stress less and focus on more important matters. And remember, my success depends on your satisfaction. Top of Page
