| Sam, Lisa, Samuel and Maggie welcome you to the Witten Ranch and Witten Family web page. We are a 600+ acre working cattle farm and horse stable. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| On the ranch we like to watch the wildlife, work cows, ride horses, hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Sam is the fourth generation of Witten to live and work on the Witten Ranch. He likes to hunt and fish. He works at Vought Aircraft making new planes. Lisa and Sam married in 1998. Lisa is a country girl at heart and really enjoys the quite and privacy that living on the ranch provides. She loves to work with the horses and teach the children about farm life. Her main goal is to get the ranch in better shape and turn the homeplace and tenants quarters into a bed & breakfast and cabin for weekend visitors to stay while visiting nearby historic Waxahachie and Hillsboro. Samuel, IV is a spirited little boy. He was born November 7, 2001. He loves living on the ranch, the horses, cows and wildlife. He is a happy child. Maggie joined our family a little early. She was born on September 30, 2004, 3 1/2 months premature. We were very blessed that she did not suffer any major complications. She is blind due to retinopathy of prematurity. She will be learning the world and how to operate in it through her other senses. She is doing remarkably well. She also has an oral aversion and we are having to work with her to get her to eat. In the meantime, she is fed through a feeding tube. She is growing and learning every day and her future is looking very bright. |
