Misc. Info.: Sungmin entered the 2001 SM Youth Best Contest and jointly along with Donghae won first place for Best Outward Appearance. He debuted on SBS "Showdown of the Century ," a show that showcased various SM trainees, hosted by Kangta and Moon Heejun of H.O.T. in 2002. He owns a scooter which he calls Byul (? which means Star) and often goes riding with Shindong, with whom he also shares a love of photography.

Trivia Fact: he has a younger brother whose name is Sungjin. He is very precise when cooking. Despite Sungmin's natural love for danhobak (sweet pumpkin), he is often linked to pumpkins because of a line he had to recite in MBC Drama "Sea of sisters". Appointed to be the member who would definitely get caught while two-timing his girlfriend. Sungmin can do nunchucks. He loves pink like mad.Whenever he buys something he will not see the design as long it is PINK.Sungmin changed his phone cover to Pink.Once Sungmin decided to have a change of style and not wear pink,but when he open his cupboard he realized that most of his clothes were pink,he gave up in the end about changing his style. Sung-min, however, stayed with Lee Hyuk-jae and both of them debuted as members of Super Junior two years later. On August 2005, he appeared briefly in the MBC drama, "Sea of Sisters." Sungmin made an official debut on November 6, 2005 as a member of Super Junior. They performed the group's first single, "TWINS (Knock Out)" on SBS's 'Popular Songs. A year later Lee appeared in the SBS Banjun Theatre drama Finding Lost Time as a guest star with TVXQ, Micky Yoochun. Two years later Sungmin replaced Kang-In as one of the key DJs of Reckless Radio and is currently hosting it with Sooyoung of Girls' Generation.
