MY DAD.....JAMES DANIEL MARTIN
SADLY MISSED....
        NEVER FORGOTTEN
My dad sadly had to leave us on January 11, 1988....On his birthday July 3 just months before his sudden death I bought him  a plaque with the following poem I did not expect him to die ever, but I am glad I was given the chance to be with him if only for a short period of my life......I miss you dad and I will be waiting  until we see each other again someday .....lizanne

"I love you Dad"
What can you say to someone who
has alwyas been one of the most
essential parts of your world,
someone  who took you by the hand when
you  were little and helped to
show you the way,
someone who stood by to help you grow,
providing love, strength and support so you
could become the person you are today?
What can you say to let him know that he's the best there is and that you
hope you've inherited some of his wisdom
and his strenght?
What words would you
say if you ever got the chance?
Maybe you just say "I love you Dad"
and hope he understands.

Seems like forever.......

Although youve been gone for so long
your face i see every day
it would break my heart in two
if that were to ever go away

i can still smell your scent
if i close my eyes real tight
and i remember times spent with you
as my head hits the pillow each night

i was angry when you left me
tears flowed for days on end
i never go to say good bye
to my father, my daddy , my friend

i know youre somewhere better
where you no longer live in pain
and you send me reminders of your love
when i look out the window and see the rain

or whenever i look at my oldest
and remember the words you last set free
what ever happens now
please dont let him ever forget about me

ive kept my end of the bargain
never a day goes by
that i dont remind him of your love
and how he was always your guy

i cant wait for the day
to feel your hug again
cause i miss you more now than ever
my father, my daddy , my friend
