Aizu & Fukushima

Aizu-Wakamatsu City is a small city of approximately 150,000 people surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges.  Most prominent sites are the Mt. Bandai Vulcano (rumbling now and then), and the old castle in the heart of town.

Fukushima Prefecture is one of the larger prefectures to the north of Tokio.  It can be reached by train (shinkansen) from Tokio-Ueno train station which has good connections to Tokio-Narita airport via the Kansei line (Skyliner train).

Japan is a wonderful country with great people, spectacular landscape and the best food in the world. It is a different world though: expect the unexpected. Travel information can be found here.
