Police Lt. H. R. Pearsall, Freeport Freeport-Funeral services will be held tonight for Lt. Herbert R. Pearsall, 55 a member of the village police force for nearly 30 years. Pearsall died at about 4 AM Saturday, apparently of a heart attack, at his home, 21 Queen St. A lifelong resident of Freeport, he joined the village police department in May, 1929. He was promoted to sergeant about nine years later, and to lieutenant in 1948. He was a member of the Freeport Police Benevolent Association, the Nassau Police Conference. He is survived by his wife Margaret; a daugher, Mrs. Janet Pagano, and a stepson, Calvin Losee. Religious services will be held at 8:15. The funeral will take place at 10 AM tomorrow from Fulton's, with burial following in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead.
