" Theodore F. Pearsall Fruit Importer Dies"
Theodore Frelinghuysen Pearsall, 72 years old of 94 Ft. Greene Pl., a retired New York Merchant and importer, long a resident of Brooklyn died on Sunday and the funeral services will be held at his late residence tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Harry Knight Miller, of the Hanson Pl. M. E. Church, officiating interrment will be in Green-Wood Cemetery. Mr. Pearsall was born in New York City and was the son of the late Treadwell and Sarah A. Pearsall.He was educated at the Polytechnic Institute and as a young man was a member of the Old Excelsior baseball nine that played in the first yearly contests at the Parade Ground. The club was subsequently a social organization. Mr. Pearsall was a veteran of Company C, 23rd Regiment of Brooklyn, and was a life member of the Veterans' Association of that command. He was until the outbreak of the Spanish War the largest importer of bananas in New York, and a member of the old firm of Gomez & Pearsall. He is survived by a brother Louis T. Pearsall.
