From 1901 until 1904 all of Picasso's paintings belonged to the Blue Period. In that time Picasso was
very poor. He couldn't afford canvas or oil pant. His friend died and Picasso was very sad. In that time he only painted in shades of blue. This was called monchromatic painting.
