The roadster concept of the new Boxster S can also be enjoyed with even greater athleticism and intensity. Its 3.2 l horizontally opposed power unit produces 206 kW (280 bhp) of power at 6,200 rpm and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. A maximum torque of 320 Nm (237 ftlb.) is available in the rev range between 4,700 and 6,000 rpm. Maximum speed is 268 km/h (166 mph).
Braking performance is perhaps even more important than acceleration in a true sports car. For the first time ever, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) is available as an optional extra in the new Boxster S. This motor sport-inspired ceramic brake disc is much harder and much more resistant to high temperature than comparable brake discs. Even more importantly, the PCCB significantly reduces the unsprung weight, a feature that is clearly an advantage when it comes to driving dynamics.

The cockpit of the new Boxster S has been completely redesigned in a new range of colours. As its muscular external appearance suggests, the interior is dominated by streamlined, clear contours. High quality materials are a given, the ergonomics are exemplary. Nothing distracts from the essentials. All controls are designed so that the driver can concentrate on the most important aspect of all: being at one with this car.
