Rates and Ranks:

There are two types of ranks in the US Navy.  There are Enlisted Rates and Officer Ranks.  The Enlisted rates are lower then the Officers and they also do most of the work in the Navy. The officers are burdened with command and responsibility and are higher in seniority than NJROTC Enlisted rates.
