• We discussed Booster business - the purpose pf the Booster Club (fundraising, support and spirit, chaperones, Starter Kits, etc.) and how much money we have currently in the Booster Club account, among other things.
• Contact information was given out for Commander and the Booster Club officers.
• Parents signed up to be Booster Club members (remember your $25 goes towards your cadet's "Fair Share" amount).
• Parents signed up for the Booster Box (selling LMHS items at home football games). 
• We discussed field meets and competition teams:
  • The different teams that the cadets can join and how important it is for parents to come and watch, and help the cadets win the unit "Spirit Award" (lots of cheering!!).
  • Parents are encouraged to come to field meets to help out with last minute preparations before field meet Personnel Inspections (especially mothers of the female cadets - mothers of boys aren't necessarily good at braiding). 
  • Speaking of which.... we need items for the "idiot box": bobby pins, small sewing kits, Clorox pens, hairspray, lint brushes, nail polish remover, etc.  These are used in the last minute preparation before the PI inspections.   Any items you can donate would be appreciated.
  • Support a Cadet letters to be going out soon

  • Cadets who participate in field meets are to wear their red PT shirts when not in uniform. 

  • Tentative field meet dates: 

• We talked about fund raising, and what the funds typically cover: transportation to field meets, starter kits, uniform supplies, warm-up suits for field meets, field meet entrance fees, navy ball tickets, etc. 

  • Fund Raising activities that the parents can help with: using the Albertsons card, shopping through www.igive.com, manning the Booster Box at football games, and helping with the April spaghetti dinner.

  • Fair share was explained.  Fair Share will be approx. + - $150 again this year.

• Community outreach - 

• Cadets MUST have their physical forms submitted to the school.  That includes the physical AND the addendum.  If your son/daughter has already submitted theirs to a sports coach, have them tell their coach that Chief needs a copy of it.

• Uniform Days are Wednesdays - All Day on Wednesdays.  There is some leeway for special days, cadets MUST make sure they understand the ground rules.  They can expect to receive a zero for the day otherwise.
