Header Exercise:

• First, open up Microsoft Word
• Select Format: Paragraph: Line Spacing: Double Space
• View: Header/Footer
• Right-Click inside header box
• Choose Paragraph
• Choose Alignment
• Choose Right
• You can also go under Format: Paragraph: Align: Right
• Type your last name and a space
• Insert: Page #
• For Outlines:  Page #s should be in the form of Roman Numerals:
• View Header/Footer
• Do Not Type in Last Name
• Insert: Page Numbers
• Alignment:  Right
• Format:  Number Format:  "i,ii,iii..."
• OK:  OK
• Close Box
• Minimize the Window, but don't Quit Word.

• Open the Internet Explorer (or Netscape Communicator)
• Go to library.morgan.edu
• Select "Databases by Title"
• Select Database M
• Choose MLA Bibliography
• Search for "Mary Shelley and Rousseau"
• "Gilgamesh and Death"
• Minimize Window
• Select Databases
• Select J
• Select JStor
• Search for Mary Shelley and Rousseau
• Select first article, being sure to note citation information.
• Minimize Window
• Go to researchport.umd.edu
• Do search in MLA Bibliography, JStor, as time permits

• Re-open Word
• Center title: "Works Cited"
• Align Left
• Enter information for selected essay, using proper MLA format
• Save Document to desktop

• Open Web browser, access email
• EMail Document as attachment to [email protected].

• If you have completed this assignment in the lab, please delete the file from the hard drive after you have successfully emailed it.
