The correct botanical name is "Lc Trick or Treat x Lc Rojo."

This is my own "Blazing Treat" which bloomed mid-January through mid-February. The blooms looked very fragile (but were not) and reminded me somewhat of a cactus flower.  They were every bit as red-orange as these colors portray. When I was handed this guy at an orchid society  meeting last October (just for being a visitor at the time,) I was told I might have problems getting it to bloom. Ah, but it loves the southeast window and all that sunshine !  I wish the blooms had lasted longer - they each dropped exactly 5 weeks to the day they each first opened. Of the 13 orchids I now have, this has been my favorite to date. Mine is a small plant with only one pseudobulb with one bloom spike - 3 f;pwers. Below is a photo of an award winning plant with several sets of pseudobulbs and gorgeous blooms. Since Cattleyas only bloom from new growth, a new psuedobulb must grow first.  The red-orange buds reminded me very much of chili peppers.
