Use the alternative colors or select your Dad's favorites. Using 18ct you can create a card by inserting the piece into a greeting card blank. Or make your own by trimming the fabric to 1/2" from border and fringing all but the 2 rows of stitches closest to the design. Using 1/2 sheet of cardstock, create an inside sentiment, fold in 1/2, then glue the piece to the front. This fits in a standard "invitation" envelope. The one I made for my Dad is stitched on 18ct Fiddler's Light and affixed to the card face with a repositionable glue stick. I gave the front of the card stock a run through the color printer using a "sponge" effect in PSP8 program, using a light forest green tone just to cut the bright white.
