It was a dark and stormy night. Well actually it was just a little overcast, but it looked like a storm was coming, and it was definitely dark. Anyway... the excited children gathered around the fire listened intently as the first adult began to speak.

"Okay, you've pestered us for it and here it finally is: the origin of the legendary LMBP, that renowned group of people who are famed for their banter, friendliness and sense of fun.
The story starts with four heroes called Lash Lad, Shadowplay in Candlelight Lass, Lardlad and Engine Joe. They were astronauts on an experimental space rocket, and after it crashed they realised that radiation exposure had given them strange and wondrous new powers..."

"That's not right at all," said a second adult. "Engine Joe started the LMBP by searching for fellow posters who were gifted and set apart from other message board posters. He found five originally - Lash, Lardy, shady, cobalt Kid and Bellbookcandle Kid - and trained them to use their gifts in his 'message board for special students'. They also thwarted the Brotherhood of Evil Message Board Posters time and time again."

"Rubbish. You're mind's gone. Listen to me children, and I'll tell you about the LMBP. They were all originally sidekicks to older message board posters, but they began to hang out together. Their fondness for alcohol was displayed from their very early days and they were frequently getting really tight and drunk. In fact their early nickname was the Teen Tight'uns."

"Stop, that's just nonsense. Everyone knows that the LMBP was a non-group that only came together when there was a real crisis. Or were they the group of former villains who decided to turn over a new leaf and become heroes, and had to fight to prove themselves? Or am I thinking about the rebel fighters who were trying to defeat that evil empire? Or ..."

"Stop teasing the children, you lot," said a very old Lardlad. "We all know about the LMBP because we were there." Newcru, Loser and the former Anchor Boy grinned at him. "Now shut up while Shady tells them how much fun we had."
