Thank you for the love you showed,
           though I was unable to share it on the same level,
You were never close enough to hold me in your arms
           instead you held me through the distance with words
You could never watch the falling rain, at my side
           but you showered me with your hopes, dreams,                    sadness and fears
You never watched the stars rise above with me,
           yet almost every night you were close to me
We've shared so much, smiles, words, but most of all our lives,
           yet I have never seen my words affect your life or                simply make you smile
We know each other inside and out,
           and still we are strangers
But must I know god to still have faith>
