There are a lot of dogs in this farm. Large
population of dogs is due to the breeding of dogs and dogs from nearby
farms. Because our farm is the one of the last few farm to be close down
in this area, therefore these dogs from the nearby farms, which have been
close down, would come to our farm to look for food and shelter. Their
foods is the scrap food from our lunch and dinner. According to
my father, the brown dog in
this photograph a very cute dog but sadly it was stolen.

Cats can sometime be very fierce and some dogs are afraid of them. Cats
have a rather small population and most of them live in the pig shed store
room. Some mother cat did not like people to
go near their kitten.

The area around our house is full of trees.
Around 6 to 7 am, you can go to one of these tree,
stand near the trunk, take a deep breath. The water vapour from the tree
trunk would make you feel very comfortable. There are a row of
jackfruit trees at the side of the large pond. Jackfruit trees bear fruit
all year round. When small Jackfruits are seen at the side of the
tree, a rice bag would wrapped around these fruits. This is to prevent birds
from eating it.

There are quite a number of rambutan trees and
durian trees are located at the back of the house and the fish shed, the ripping
season of the rambutan trees are around June and July each year. We have supply of rambutan until
1995 when rambutan trees bear very few fruits. Although there are durian
trees , we did not get much durians, their quality are also very poor
because my uncles used nails to nail these durian trees' trunk. He did this
because he was told by a friend that nailing the durians trees would get
better quality durians but it did not turn out so.
