Lloyds Bank
E&T Department
Brighton

The Brighton, Sussex (U.K.) branch of Lloyds Bank Executor & Trustee Department used to be in Western Road Brighton  (on the corner of Montpelier Road) until it was closed in the early 80s. (The office is now part of Waitrose Supermarket!)

Most people who worked in Brighton E&T have happy memories of the friendly working atmosphere.  It certainly had a pretty low staff turn-over ~ a  sign that the workers were generally happy and contented!!!

Since the office closed, many members of staff have continued to keep in touch with each other. Hopefully, this website will help this to continue ..........

So........ what exactly was life like for an employee of Brighton E&T?

Well........ we had all the
latest mod cons

Sometimes life
in the office could be
a tiny bit
stressful

But, very occasionally, there was a chance
to relax

Or, for the guys, to ..... er.......view the scenery...... (especially in the days of those mini-skirts!)

Or perhaps to chill out at the
Christmas party

And us girls? Of course, we too could admire the view.... (recognise anyone
here, gals?)

Oh, okay, perhaps not.......

At least when we weren't
working hard........

.....we could always escape to the rest room for  a quick chat.

Or, if all else failed......
A cup of George's....
hot, sweet tea!!!
