Joe started his life living in Renton Washington in a nice little three room house. Friends were easliy made in his neighborhood. Childhood memories of floating things down the ditches, and playing in his backyard with Delbert his dog still fill his head. Joe then moved to a big house on Vashon Island Washington. There again he had to make friends. Over the years some of his friends he had in grade school turned into acquaintances and were replaced by new friends with the same interests he had. Joe's childhood was filled many hours of capture the flag, video games, martial arts, and all sorts of childhood activities. His childhood wasn't dull. In middle school he felt behind in math and science,because most of his friends were doing AP alegabra and things like that. By highschool Joe decided he was going to catch up in those areas he felt he was lacking in and gained a love for science and math.He's fear for talking in front of his peers greatly affected the first two years of highschool.At the beginning of Joe's Highschool years he felt it a need to find spirituality and the divorce of his parents wasn't helping. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saint in 1996 without the aid of his parents decision.Joe graduated Highschool in 2000, and decided to quit his job as a meat dept cleaner and go on a 2 year mission to preach the gospel in Ohio. During Aug 2000-2002 He traveled and lived in Lakewood, St Marys, Stow, Toledo, Massilon, Champion, Seven-Hills, Lyndhurst, Euclid Ohio and Sharon PA. He talked to many people (including preists,and bishops) and visited my churches through out Ohio and Sharon PA. One nice lady even told him he has no rythem while clapping to a hymn. Joe made lots of missionary buddies while in Ohio. However he missed the earthquake in Washington at the time. He returned home with new skills such as Leadership, and talking in front of others. Joe quickly got a job as a Copy Boy in Seattle, however not pleased with the job he got a job as a cashier and signed up for college. He stared college in apr. 2003 and juggled dating, work and martial arts at the same time. Joe's Major is astropyhsics and his minoring in French.Soon after July He met his future wife online and got married Sept 13th and moved to Rainier Washington. Jan. 2004 Joe and Brenda Felton moved back to Vashon where they help his mother paint and sell her house. Nov. 2004 He moved to Nampa Idaho because of a Job offer which fell through resulting in their move to Tacoma Washington. He then signed back up for school. |
