My brief musical history: I took piano lessons under the watchful eye of Mrs. DuBois from age six to twelve. Thanks to her and "John Thompson" I learned to read piano music. (Mid 50s) (Fast-forward to mid-90s) While on a business trip to Nashville, Tn, I was staying at Lowes Vanderbult Hotel. I met a piano player by the name of Bill Ferrarri, He was playing in the bar and very well, I must say. I liked the song he was playing so I asked him the name of the song and he said "Angel Eyes". Upon returning home, I bought the sheet music and learned to play the song. several months later, I heard that some guy by the name of Jim Brickman was doing a concert in the area and I thought "where have I heard of that name?" The next time I played "Angel Eyes" I realized that Jim Brickman had written the song! I got four tickets to his concert and, HE WAS GREAT! |
