My distance Friend

(dedicated to Tweety)

I was trying out "LOLchat",
But gee, what was that ?
Nobody would let me in the room,
Was that my doom ?

Finally somebody let me in but she went away,
But she said, I had to stay.
She would come back, she had a call,
I waited and thought she did that to them all !

She kept her promise and came back in no time,
It was as if I heard a chime.
We chatted and had great fun,
And decided to keep it run.

It's now more than half a year,
We sit at the computer with tea and a burning candelier.
It's always hard to say goodbye,
And I really wonder why ?

Cause the next day we tease each other again,
It's like we are tied with a chain.
She became a very close friend,
Although she lives at the other end.

It's weird the net can bring people together,
Through an ordinary cable and through all weather.
I hope we could stay friends for a long time,
Cause her nature is wonderful and fine.
