This obligates individuals at all levels of achievement to celebrate their attainment by giving back to the Lord through constructive and permanent engagement with the community. Concept
The Catholic Graduates Association (CGA), as an association, will group Roman Catholic Christians of Malawi origin, who have at least one university degree or diploma from within and outside the country. At its inception meeting, held at Radio Alinafe premises, it was decided that the CGA would be formed around the following principles and objectives:
. Enhancing the Roman Catholic faith, and understanding of Roman Catholic teaching among active graduate Christians and helping those who are non-active to become so. Through this, the graduates would, in addition to enhancing their Christian life, improve that of their families, communities, and Church.
. All events undertaken by the Association shall open and end with prayer such that the events will be seen to be, and will indeed be, guided by God, the regulations of the Church and the Constitution of the CGA.
. That Roman Catholic Graduates be encouraged to play a highly visible, active and constructive role in the society which is consistent with the teaching of the Church, and underlied by a deep sense of duty and humility.
. That Roman Catholic Graduates be available, and wherever such opportunity arises and certified expertise is evident, to provide specialized skills in support of Church institutions such as rendering direct services of teaching in seminaries and convents, working in hospitals, participating in commercial enterprises under the dioceses and to be board members of commercial entities owned by the Catholic Church.
