| OUIMETTE NEWS BITS Jeffery and Bethan have been enjoying swim lessons. We haven't been to the lake for a swim yet this summer, but it's in our plans to make a visit there soon. We frequent the Wood library and their many assorted summer programs and Jeffery will give lacrosse a try at camp later this month. The sandbox and bike riding have been enjoyed most days and Laura even gets a bit of help in the gardens from time to time. Jake is enrolled in obedience classes and is doing a fine job with "sit", "stay", and "come". He doesn't yet seem to understand "down" which puzzles his instructor. Laura and her Mom will take Jake and the kids to visit their cousins in Ohio while Ron's away on business and Morgan keeps Grandpa company back at home later this month. Our Ohio cousins won't be traveling to NY this summer because they will make a trip to Idaho to meet Cousin Brooks instead. In August we plan to help celebrate Gramma and Grumpy's 50th wedding anniversary and then head to Lake Placid for a few days of rest and relaxation. The baby should arrive on or about September 18th. We're still looking for more living space, but haven't found anything worth leaving what we have, and we aren't quite sure a major addition up is our best option.. |

| The adoption of Mason's and Parker's big sister has met with some terrible complications. Please keep Lauren Esperanza (who is 9 years old) in your thoughts and prayers for things to work out so she may come home to her family in America. Mason had his cord blood transplant on February 9th (to help eliminate health problems caused by the Waikott-Aldrich Syndrome). He has been mostly home and doing well in Oklahoma with regular visits to Fort Worth. Laura's cousin, Carol, does an excellent job keeping folks updated through a CAREPAGE (www.carepages.com for MasonFernando). Your thoughts prayers are most greatly appreciated. There's a link to a blog for Mason on the homepage. |
