| OUIMETTE NEWS BITS Well, it's been an interesting summer for the Ouimette family. Laura was put on bed rest after her blood pressure got too high back in July. The gestational hypertension put everything else on hold until Thomas Francis arrived 6 weeks earlier than expected. Grandma and Grandpa Bender helped out by taking Laura in on their couch and adopting Jeffery, Bethan, Morgan, and Jake for 3 weeks. Ron's done a splendid job holding down the forts in Canandaigua, with work, and back and forth to the hospital for Laura and Thomas. Our experience with Laura's hospital stays and Thomas being in the NICU couldn't have been better, except to completely avoid them in the future. We've also really appreciated the help of friends who have cleaned house, brought food, and taken Jeffery and Bethan for adventures while Laura rests. We are truly blessed! Thanks to a visit to Ohio in July we got all of our school shopping done between relaxation and recreation with the cousins and are anxiously awaiting the start of the school year for Jeffery into second grade and Bethan into preschool. Our house seems even smaller now with Thomas here and we are patiently waiting for God's will regarding decisions about adding on or moving out. |

| Prayers for Mason and LAUREN! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| The adoption of Mason's and Parker's big sister has met with some terrible complications. Please keep Lauren Esperanza (who is 9 years old) in your thoughts and prayers for things to work out so she may come home to her family in America. Mason had his cord blood transplant on February 9th (to help eliminate health problems caused by the Waikott-Aldrich Syndrome). He has been mostly home and doing well in Oklahoma with regular visits to Fort Worth. Laura's cousin, Carol, does an excellent job keeping folks updated through a CAREPAGE (www.carepages.com for MasonFernando). Your thoughts prayers are most greatly appreciated. There's a link to a blog for Mason on the homepage. |
