Jake enjoys his first swim!
Jake's first time in the lake!
Jake was 16 months old before we took him for a swim in the lake.  Quite horrible on our part, considering he's a lab.  Of course, he's a natural in the water.  Our only problem was trying to pry the several sticks from his mouth that he proudly fetched from the water.  From now on we know to bring ONE tennis ball and have no trouble with him continually retrieving it.
Jake treasures each stick we throw and holds onto all five at once.

OUIMETTE NEWS BITS
Our big news from June is Jeffery's banner (check it out on the banner page).  Thomas actually has a decent sleep schedule now which allows Laura to get things done around the house (with lots of help from Bethan).  Laura realized that it may take some time to completely recover from her year of sleep deprivation the morning she continued to try calling a friend using the TV remote instead of the phone!  Ron's been investigating plans and contractors about garages...just maybe we'll be able to store his Chryslers ourselves this coming winter.
CONGRATULATIONS PETER!
Aunt Laura continued to see Peter Fellenz's name in the newspaper.  Thank goodness it had to do with him graduating as HS Salutatorian and being an alltime Masterminds' tops player.
Peter is headed to Northwestern in Chicago come September.
