Jeffery was one of 62 K-12 students choosen to design a character education banner for the city of Canandaigua.  According to an interview with the local paper:
Second-grader Jeffery Ouimette created a 'respect' banner depicting one person apologizing to another after a confrontation.  He hopes that "when people see it, they think about respecting others."
