Staff

The staff at Anchor Nursery School are dedicated and experienced. The staff consists of a director, teachers and teacher assistants. The Director is a New York State Certified teacher. Teachers and teacher assistants are hired based on their experience with children. All of the staff are CPR / First Aid Certified. The staff are members of Hope Lutheran Church as well.

Director / Teacher

Hi! My name is Mrs. Laza and I�am the Director at Anchor Nursery School. I�have been working at Anchor Nursery School since 1997. I have a Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's College and am certified in Elementary and Special Education. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Technology at C.W. Post.

Before working for the nursery school I worked for Hope Lutheran Church first serving as Sunday School teacher, then Sunday School Superintendent and then Director of Outreach and Discipleship which included organizing and overseeing the educational programs of the church.

I am also the mother of 2 children.

I have enjoyed my years at Anchor Nursery School and look forward to the years to come.

Our classroom teacher is Mrs.Thide. She has been working for the school for 15 years and is dedicated and enthusiastic.

Mrs. Thide also volunteers for Hope Lutheran Church as food pantry coordinator and registra for the education programs. She is a mother of 2. Mrs. Thide worked for 2 years organizing our Camp Hope program is involved in numerous other ways in the congregation.

Mrs. Denig is our teacher's assistant. This is her third year working at Anchor. She is a mother of 3.
