Clint braced himself for the arrival of his Texas family and friends, which included: his father, Asa Buchanan; Asa�s girlfriend, Mimi King; his right hand man, Chuck Wilson; cousin Rafe Garretson; and country singer Johnny Drummond. In amongst that lineup, the one face Clint was happy to see was his high-strung younger brother, Bo Buchanan. Clint had been estranged from his �Pa� for years, and was clearly agitated at the prospect of Asa Buchanan�s imminent arrival. Quickly, Clint understood that the first to arrive Bo had been sent on a mission by Asa to get Clint to return to the family fold.

Clint dated both Pat Ashley and her sister, Maggie, but found himself only interested in Pat. Maggie made a play for Clint, who rebuffed her. Pat, however, was unwilling to hurt her sister anymore than Clint already had and refused to have anything to do with him. As the year came to an end, Maggie hatched a plan to steal Pat�s identity! By impersonating Pat, Maggie could have Clint all to herself!
